By the nature of its mandate, the Commission does not make any decisions regarding constituent rights.
Under the Regulation respecting the ethics and professional conduct of public office holders, however, the Commission has established an ethical code entitled code d’éthique et de déontologie des membres de la Commission. The code was updated in June 2015.
In 2008-2009, the Commission defined its ethical practices for evaluations it carry out in colleges in a code developed for individuals acting as experts within visiting committees, advisory committees or any other committee created within the framework of its evaluation operations. The document was updated in December 2014.
