Access to information and personal information protection
Like all Quebec public government bodies, the Commission d’évaluation de l’enseignement collégial must abide by the Act respecting Access to Documents Held by Public Bodies (L.R.Q., chapter A-2.1). The act, also called the “Access Act,” has two main objectives:
- To guarantee the right of each individual to have access to documents held by public bodies to the extent permitted by the Act;
- To ensure the confidentiality of personal information held by a public body and grant each person the right to access information about them and to demand its correction, if necessary.
