Program evaluation is essential for assuring that educational methods, student mentoring, and program-relevant laboratories or equipment ensure access to quality education. The assessment also allows colleges to ensure, through thorough data collection, that their success rates are satisfactory and that their programs are coherent and consistent with the expectations of students, employers and universities.
Throughout the first years of its mandate, the Commission led eight operations to help colleges thoroughly and systematically assess their programs of study.
