Institutional evaluation

As stated in article 13 of its Act, the Commission’s mandate is to evaluate, both in Cegeps and private subsidized colleges, activities related to its education mission, both in terms of planning, administrative and educational management, and in terms of teaching and various support services. The institutional evaluation covers the main responsibilities and activities relating to the achievement of a college’s educational mission.

To carry out this operation, which took place between 2000 and 2004, the Commission produced a guide identifying the issues, scope and criteria selected for this evaluation, as well as a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section to help colleges throughout their self-assessment procedure. In the fall of 2004, the Commission published a summary report entitled L’exercice des responsabilités dans les collèges : une première évaluation institutionnelle.
