The person responsible for the access must ensure access to Commission documents in a timely manner and see to it that personal information is not disclosed to anyone other than those authorized by the Act.
This person must respond with diligence and at the latest within 20 days following receipt of the request, by providing access to the document or the information requested, or by explaining the reasons for which the document or information is not available. There are many restrictions to the right of access. If needed, an extension of ten additional days may be invoked to process a request.
